Strangely enough, I was never really a fan of dragons. I liked the idea of them, but for me they were mostly a part of books that I never read and didn’t particularly care about. I know someone who loves dragons more than anything else, but other than rare encounters with her, I pretty much have no real insight into this subject.

On that note, here’s a poem about a subject I don’t really care about. Woo!

11. Dragon: Envision a dragon. Do you battle him? Or is the dragon friendly? Use descriptive language.

Here be dragons

Upon the soft white pages,

If you look in between,

Past the scrawled lines

From authors long dead,

You can find them.

They sulk silently,

Swimming in the depths of imagination.

Their strange skin shimmers

Despite there being no sun.

You can see them clearly,

Myriads intertwined,

Though you daren’t speak of them.

You watch them in silence,

HOld them quietly in your heart.

You make them your own,

But they are not yours.

They are a secret,

unknowingly known by all,

Seen by most.

And secret they shall always be.

Always,

And forever.
