Day 13 – Letters

I read the Diary of Anne Frank long ago, and it was the most painful book I've ever read. I was right about Anne's age when I read them, and it pained me beyond belief to read these words from such a young girl. Today I'll be using one of her letters to her diary.…

Day 11 – Here Be Dragons

Strangely enough, I was never really a fan of dragons. I liked the idea of them, but for me they were mostly a part of books that I never read and didn't particularly care about. I know someone who loves dragons more than anything else, but other than rare encounters with her, I pretty much…

Day 10 – The White Queen

A long time ago, I had a group of very abusive friends. They were very smart people who outwardly seemed incredibly nice, but when I was alone with them things would turn violent and controlling. For a long time I couldn't tell anyone because no one would believe me. The ringleader was the class valedictorian…

Day 8 – You Wake Up

For the past year or so, I've been taking anxiety meds. These meds have been working great for me, but they give me super vivid and very memorable dreams. I've found that I can lucid dream more often then not, and it's mostly great. Last night I had the most paralyzing dream. I couldn't wake up, because every time I tried I would just wake up in another dream. I would wake up and panic! It was a rough night, and I didn't get much sleep, but it gave me an idea for a story. Yes, I know, this is a bit simular to Inception, but I promise that it's worth the read!

Day 6 -Eyes are the Window to the Soul

I think this story speaks for itself. It's a bit graphic and kinda creepy, but I've had this one bouncing around in my mind for some time. Hope you enjoy! 6. Eye Contact: Write about two people seeing each other for the first time. Windows to the Soul You see the strangest people at the…

Day Five and I’m Starving

This one is short and sweet, but is mostly inspired by my religion. I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian, and I fast. In my faith, we fast specifically from meat and dairy, as this is how Adam and Eve ate in the garden of Eden. For forty days before Christmas, we fast from meat and…

Day 4 – That Damn Music Box

You know, sometimes stories do not go as planned. For example, this one was supposed to be about a woman with one leg, the other lost from a car accident on the way to her first ballet as a professional. She would've sat in her wheelchair and cried, at the end, as she watched this sweet music box that she's had since she was a child dance endlessly, mocking her. Finally, in a fit of rage at her condition and at this beautiful music box, she would've hurled it to the wall. She would've regretted it, but not till much later. Not till she got her first prosthetic leg and started a dance studio for those who are at a disadvantage. One of her students would've given her a music box simular to her old one, but with the leg broken off.
